The purpose of this privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy") is to inform users of our site of the following:

• The personal data we will collect;

• Who has access to the data collected; and
• The rights of site users;  

This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the terms and conditions of our Site.

By using our Site users agree that they consent to the conditions set out in this Privacy Policy.

We collect and process personal data about users only when we have a legal basis for doing so. We rely on the following legal bases to collect and process the personal data of users:

2. Processing of user personal data is necessary for us to comply with the request. If a user does not provide the personal data necessary for us to perform the services, we cannot proceed with the Remote Commissioning or Notarization services. 

Personal Data, We Collect 

We only collect data that helps us achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first. 

Data Collected in a Non-Automatic Way. 

We may also collect the following data when you perform certain functions on our Site: 

1. First and last name; 
2. Email address; 
3. Phone number; 
4. Address; and
5. Payment information (based on type of payment selected)

This data may be collected using the following methods: when booking an appointment. 

How We Use Personal Data 

Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy. 

The data we collect when the user performs certain functions may be used for the following purposes: 

1. For Identification purposes. 
2. For Record Keeping purposes 

Who We Share Personal Data With 

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases: 

1. If the law requires it; 
2. If it is required for any legal proceeding; and 
3. To prove or protect our legal rights;

How Long do we Store Personal Data 

User data will be stored for Eleven years. The record-keeping rules and guidelines of the Law Society of Ontario apply to us when acting as a notary.

How We Protect Your Personal Data 

Please note we do not provide any legal advice at TheNotaryTrce.ca 

Our Notary, Abhilasha Negi is a licensed lawyer in Ontario registered with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO). Some of the record-keeping rules and guidelines of the LSO apply to us when acting as a notary. 

When you have something notarized from us, we are required to keep a record of your document and ID. 

We ensure to abide by the strict privacy and confidentiality policies and none of the client information would be shared with any third party without the client's consent. Additionally, we do not keep hard copies of your ID and documents. We keep a digital copy that is encrypted and stored on computers that are password-protected. No one other than our Notary shall have access to these documents. 

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical. 

Children

If the services are utilized pertaining to Children under the age of 18 years, please note we only collect the personal data of children under 18 years of age with the express consent of their parents or guardians. 

Modifications 

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updates.
